Turnips With Cheese Sauce Recipe

| Turnips | 4 Medium | |
| Onion | 1 Small, sliced | |
| 1 cup 1/4-inch slices celery | ||
| Cornstarch | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cold water | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 5 or 6 drops red pepper sauce | ||
| Shredded Cheddar cheese | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |

Directions
1. Cut turnips into 2 x1 1//2-inch strips. Place 1/2 cup water, salt, pepper, turnips, onion and celery in 2-quart casserole. Cover tightly and microwave on high (100%) 6 minutes; stir. Cover and microwave until tender, 6 to 8 minutes longer. Drain vegetables, reserving 1/4 cup liquid.
2. Mix cornstarch and1/3 cup cold water in 2-cup measure. Stir in reserved liquid and red pepper sauce. Microwave uncovered on high (100%) to boiling, stirring every minute, 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Stir in cheese just until melted. Pour sauce on hot vegetables; sprinkle with paprika.
