Turnips Sauteed with Greens Recipe
Ingredients
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), cut in half | |
| Olive oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 4 turnips, 500 g (1 lb) together, peeled, halved, and thinly sliced | ||
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Grated zest and juice of 1 lemon | ||
| Mustard greens | 350 Gram, roughly chopped | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
In a large saucepan fry the garlic in the olive oil until brown, then discard.
Add the sliced turnips and sprinkle with salt and the grated lemon zest.
Saute for 5 minutes.
Add the chopped greens and sprinkle with pepper and the lemon juice.
Cover and steam for 1-2 minutes.
Remove from the heat and leave covered for 10 minutes, to finish steaming.
