Ingredients
| 12 small or 6 medium white turnips, trimmed and peeled | ||
| Boiling salted water | ||
| Bacon | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| Onion | 1 Large, minced | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Ground pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Parsley | 2 Tablespoon, minced | |
Directions
Cut the turnips into julienne strips.
Wash and drain.
Cook them in about 3/4 of an inch of boiling salted water until barely tender.
Drain.
In a frying pan, cook the bacon until it is limp.
Add the onion and cook, stirring constantly, until soft and golden.
Add the turnips.
Season with salt and pepper.
Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes or until the turnips are golden brown.
