Ingredients

 
1 pound peeled white turnips
 
3/4 cup water
 
1 envelope instant chicken broth and seasoning mix
 
2 teaspoons lemon juice
 
1 slice bread, made into crumbs

Directions

Cut turnips into thin slices.
In saucepan, bring water, broth mix and lemon juice to boil.
Add turnip slices, and simmer covered, until tender.
Drain and serve.
To make sauce, combine 1/2 cup liquid from cooking vegetable with bread crumbs.
Season to taste and serve hot over cooked vegetable.
