Turnip Souffle Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup mashed cooked turnip 250 mL
1 cup thick white sauce 250 mL
2 tbs chopped onion 30 mL
2 tsp lemon juice 10 mL
1/2 tsp salt 2 mL
Dash pepper
Dash Worcestershire sauce
3 eggs, separated
Directions
If turnip and white sauce are freshly prepared, combine and cool, then mix in the next five ingredients.
Add beaten egg yolks and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Spread in a greased casserole and bake in a pan of hot water at 325F(160C) for 1 hour.
