Directions

Put meat in freezer for a few minutes and then cut across the grain in about 3/4 inch strips.
Cut turnips in halves, then cut in fairly thin slices.
Brown meat in oil, add onion and garlic and cook over moderate heat for about a half hour.
Add turnips and bouillon.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer for about 15 minutes or until turnips are done.
Blend pepper, soy sauce and salt with cornstarch which has been dissolved in water.
Pour over meat and turnips in pan and stir lightly.
Remove meat and vegetable and make gravy from juices left.
Sprinkle meat with paprika before serving.
Takes approx.
1 hour to make and serves .
