Turnip Casserole with Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients
| 10 cups turnips, cooked and mashed | ||
| Green onions | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Bacon | 1/2 Pound, diced | |
| Dried parsley | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Seasoned bread crumbs | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 tbs. Lea & Perrins Worcestershire | ||
| Louisiana hot sauce | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Dry white wine | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Garlic powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cheddar Cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
| 2 cups shrimp or crawfish, cut up | ||
| 1 cup fillet of fish, chopped | ||
| Eggs | 4 , beaten | |
Directions
Layer turnips, cheese, shrimp (or crawfish), fish, onions, bacon, and bread crumbs.
Make 2 layers.
Beat eggs and blend with rest of ingredients.
Pour this mixture over the layers in the dish.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour.
