Turkey Legs With Beer Recipe

Ingredients

 Celery sticks2
 31/4 oz smoked streaky bacon, rind removed and diced
 Carrot1 , coarsely chopped
 1 thinly sliced large onion
 2/3 cup lager
 3 tbsp soft dark brown sugar
 Garlic2 Clove (5gm), crushed
 1 fresh thyme sprig
 Bay Leaf1
 Turkey leg1 , cut in half
 Five spice powder1/2 Teaspoon
 Salt To Taste
 Pepper1
 All purpose flour2 Tablespoon

Directions

Wash the celery, remove the leaves and set aside.
Chop the stalks.
Put the bacon, carrot, onion and celery into a deep casserole and add 3 tablespoons (2 tablespoons) of water.
Cover and microwave on HIGH for 6 minutes.
Pour the lager into the casserole and add the brown sugar, garlic, thyme and bay leaf.
Cover and microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes.
Season the turkey pieces with five-spice powder and salt and pepper.
Sprinkle the flour over the contents of the casserole, mix and add salt and pepper to taste.
Add the turkey pieces to the casserole and arrange the celery leaves on top.
Cover and microwave on HIGH for 10 minutes.
Turn the turkey pieces.
Cover and microwave on HIGH for a further 10 minutes.
