Turkey Lasagne Recipe
Ingredients
1/4 lb. bulk pork sausage, browned
1 can (28 oz.) tomatoes, drained
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon crushed basil
1 teaspoon crushed rosemary
1 bay leaf
1 clove garlic, minced
1 to 1 1/2 cups cooked turkey pieces
1 1/2 cups creamed cottage cheese
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon monosodium glutamate
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 lb. lasagne noodles, cooked, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
Directions
Simmer the sausage, tomatoes, 2 tablespoons parsley, salt, basil, rosemary, bay leaf, and garlic together in an uncovered skillet until thick, about 30 minutes.
Remove bay leaf; mix in turkey and heat sauce thoroughly.
Meanwhile, mix cottage cheese, 1/4 cup parsley, and a blend of beaten eggs and seasonings.
Spread one fourth of sauce in a 2-quart shallow casserole.
Top with a third of noodles.
Using a third of each, spread nbodles with cottage cheese mixture, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and arrange Swiss cheese slices on top.
Repeat layering and end with sauce.
Bake at 350°F about 30 minutes, or until bubbly.
