Turkey Italian Recipe
The turkey italian is prepared with cooked turkey and spaghetti. Made with sauteed mushrooms and spaghetti combined with chicken broth and added yogurt with sherry, the turkey italian is seasoned to taste. flavored with nutmeg, it is baked with cheese topping to a light brown crust.
Ingredients
1 8-ounce package spaghetti, qooked and drained
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups chicken broth or bouilloh
1 8-ounce container plain yogurt
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
3 tablespoons sherry
1 teaspoon salt Dash pepper
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
3 cups cubed cooked turkey
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°.
Saut mushrooms in 2 tablespoons butter in large skillet until tender.
Combine mushrooms and spaghetti in large but-tered casserole.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in saucepan; blend in flour.
Add chicken broth; stir until thickened.
Remove from heat; add yogurt, sugar, sherry, salt, pepper, nutmeg and turkey.
Pour over spaghetti mixture.
Sprinkle with Par-mesan cheese.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes until heated thoroughly and lightly browned.
