Recipe Story

Ingredients

 
·1-1.5 lbs extra lean ground turkey
 
·1/2 white onion, chopped
 
·4 oz. button mushrooms, chopped
 
·1/4 cup kalamata olives, chopped
 
·1/4 cup basil, chopped
 
·1/4 bottle (or can) of beer
 
·1 Tbsp garlic powder
 
·salt and pepper to taste
 
·4-6 kaiser rolls
 
Toppings
 
·1 red onion, sliced into rings
 
·1 jar roasted red peppers, sliced
 
·2 handfuls of arugala
 
Dani’s Burger Sauce
 
·1 cup plain low fat yogurt
 
·1 Tbsp red chili sauce

Directions

·1) Combine yogurt and chili sauce, mix together and set aside.
·2) In a large bowl combine ground turkey, white onions, mushrooms, olives, basil, garlic powder, beer and season with salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly before forming 4-6 burger patties.
·3) Heat grill pan and allow time to get your pan hot, hot, hot! Start grilling your burgers about an inch apart from each other. After 4 minutes, flip each burger over and grill for another 4 minutes. Remove burger from pan and allow to rest for a couple of minutes.
·4) On the bottom half of your kaiser roll layer some arugala, burger patty, sliced roasted red peppers and sliced red onions. Spread the burger sauce on your top bun and finish your sandwich.
