Turkey With American Stuffing Recipe
Turkey with american stuffing is a filling and savory turkey preparation made with breadcubes, apple and vegetable stuffing. Flavored with herbs like sage and rosemary, the turkey with american stuffing has a nutty crunch to it with added walnuts in it. Served with sides of choice, it makes one delightful meal!
Ingredients
6- to 8-pounds Breast of Turkey
3 cups dried bread cubes
1 cup (4 ounces) crumbled fully cooked sausage
3/4 cup diced red apple, unpared
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves, crushed
1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup butter or margarine
Directions
Roast turkey according to package directions.
Meanwhile, prepare stuffing.
Combine bread cubes, sausage, apple, onion, walnuts and seasonings in medium bowl.
Heat water and butter in small saucepan over medium heat until butter melts.
Toss with bread mixture.
Spoon into 2-quart casserole.
Cover and bake alongside turkey last 45 minutes of roasting time.
Slice turkey and serve with stuffing.
