Turkey-Salsa Burgers Recipe
|Ripe avocado||1 , pitted and chopped|
|Prepared salsa||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), well drained (about 1/2 cup after draining, plus 3/4 cup more)|
|Sour cream||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (regular or non fat)|
|Hot chili pepper||1 Small, seeded and minced|
|Ground turkey breast/Ground chicken breast||1 Pound|
|Freshly ground pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Vegetable oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Red onion slice||4 , sliced 1/4-inch thick|
|Hamburger buns||4 , split and toasted on griddle (if desired)|

To make the burgers, in a medium bowl, combine the ground turkey or chicken breast with the drained salsa, salt, and pepper.
Divide multure and shape into four burgers, each 1/2- to - inch thick.
Preheat griddle on the appropriate setting for 5 minutes; lightly grease with vegetable oil.
Cook burgers and onion slices 9 to 12 minutes, or until, the meat is cooked through but still juicy and the onions are tender and brown.
Turn after half the cooking time.
If desired, place buns on griddle during last 3 minutes of burger cooking time to toast.
To serve, top burgers with salsa and place in toasted buns.
