Crusty Turkey Pot Pie Recipe Video
Turket pot pie is an American favorite when it comes to Thanksgiving. This meat based recipe had mixed vegetables and some gravy. It is crusty and may have few variations to it. Ingredients
1/3 c butter
1/3 c flour
1 3/4 c chicken broth
1/3 c milk
2 1/2 c turkey
2 c mixed vegetables (green beans and corn)
1/2 tsp salt and pepper each
2 pie crusts
Directions
1. Melt butter in a saucepan and add flour to it. Stir it well.
2. Add chicken broth and milk and keep stirring until thick.
3. Add turkey, green beans and corn.
4. Mix it well and turn off the heat.
5. Transfer the mixture in a 9" pie dish lined with a pie crust.
6. Cover the dish with another pie curst. Seal the edges.
7. Remove the extra pie crust from the sides.
8. Make some perforations on the pie crust with a knife.
9. Bake it for about 40 minutes at 325 F until golden brown.
10. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
