Turkey Parmigiana Recipe
This turkey parmigiana is a cheesy poultry recipe prepared with loads of cheese to it. Flavored it marinara or spaghetti sauce and oregano, the turkey parmigiana has definite Italian overtones to it. Baked to cook, it is made with added eggs. The cheesy breaded turkey is prepared with the sauce and added mozarella and parmesan toppping for delicious meal.
Ingredients
4 to 6 slices (3/8 inch thick) cooked turkey
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tablespoon water
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup seasoned dried bread crumbs
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
Vegetable oil
2 1/2 cups spaghetti or marinara sauce
2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves, crushed
3/4 cup (3 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 °F.
Combine eggs, water and 2 teaspoons oil in shallow dish; set aside.
Combine bread crumbs and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese in another shallow dish.
Dip turkey slices into egg mixture, then coat with bread crumb mixture.
Heat oil in heavy skillet over medium heat.
Brown turkey slices 2 to 4 minutes per side.
Layer turkey in 11 x 7-inch baking dish.
Combine spaghetti sauce and oregano; pour over turkey.
Top each turkey slice with mozzarella cheese and remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.
Bake in oven 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese melts.
