Ingredients
Seasoned Breadcrumbs
1/2 Cup (125 ml) chopped almonds
1/2 Cup (125 ml) breadcrumbs
2 tbsp (30 ml) chopped parsley
1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
1/4 tsp (1 ml) pepper
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 Cup (125 ml) milk
1/4 Cup (60 ml) flour
2 whole turkey legs
1/4 Cup (60 ml) flour
Juice of 2 lemons
8 lemon slices
2 tbsp (30 ml) slivered almonds
Directions
– Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
– Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
– In a separate bowl, beat egg and milk. Set aside.
– Dredge turkey legs with flour, dip into milk and egg mixture and coat with breadcrumb mixture.
– Place breaded turkey legs in a greased baking dish and cook for 1 hour or until cooking juices come out clear when meat is pricked.
– Sprinkle with lemon juice 4 times during cooking.
– Garnish with lemon slices, slivered almonds and serve
