Turkey Creole Recipe
Ingredients
| Shortening | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Green pepper | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Instant minced garlic - 1/8 teaspoon | ||
| Green onions | 1 Teaspoon, shredded | |
| Season-All - 1 teaspoon | ||
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Coarse grind black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon | ||
| Marjoram | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cayenne | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Tomatoes | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tomato juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cooked turkey | 2 Cup (16 tbs), cubed | |
Directions
MAKING
1.In a large skillet, heat shortening and add flour to it.
2.Stir well until the flour turns light brown in color.
3.Add celery and green pepper and saute well for 5 minutes.
4.Add garlic, onions, season all, salt, marjoram, cayenne, tomatoes and tomato juice and let the ingredients simmer for 15 minutes.
5.Add turkey and cook for 20 more minutes.
SERVING
6.Serve hot over rice.
