Turkey Buns Recipe

3 tablespoons butter or margarine
 
1 1/2 cups cubed cooked turkey
 
1/4 cup chopped celery
 
2 tablespoons chopped onion or 1/2 tablespoon instant minced onion
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
3/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning or sage
 
4 hamburger buns
 
1 package (5/8 oz.) brown gravy mix

Directions

In mixing bowl, melt butter (20 sec).
Add turkey, celery, onion, salt and sage.
Leaving buns unsplit, hollow out top of buns, leaving 1/2 inch thick ring around edge.
Crumble this extra bread into turkey mixture; mix well.
Fill buns with turkey mixture.
Place buns on paper napkin lined platter or tray; set aside.
In 2-cup measure or gravy bowl, combine gravy mix with water as directed on package.
Cook uncovered, 2 minutes or until mixture boils, stirring occasionally.
Cover and set aside.
Heat buns by cooking uncovered, 2 minutes or until inside of filling feels warm.
