Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Butter a 2 1/2-qt. casserole.
Put tuna and its oil into a bowl and break up with a fork.
Add cottage cheese, salt and pepper.
Heat 2 tbsp butter in small skillet and add onions and green pepper.
Cook gently, stirring, 3 minutes.
Add to tuna mixture along with noodles and eggs.
Blend lightly.
Spoon into prepared casserole.
Combine bread crumbs, melted butter and almonds and sprinkle over top of mixture in casserole.
Set in pan of hot water (1 inch deep) and bake 40 minutes.
