Tuna Cheese Tarts Recipe

Ingredients
1 tablespoon fat
1/4 cup (2-oz.) canned mushrooms
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon salt, dash pepper
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons finely chopped pimiento
1 can (7-oz.) tuna
Directions
Roll out pastry 1/8 inch thick and cut into 4- or 5-inch rounds.
Place lightly in tart pans or into the bottoms of ungreased muffin cups.
Bake in hot oven (425°F.) for 8 to 10 minutes.
This will make 6 large shells or 1 dozen small party size ones.
While the shells are baking, melt the fat and in it brown the mushrooms and onions lightly.
Blend in flour, salt and pepper, then grad- ually stir in the milk.
Cook over low heat until thickened, stir- ring constantly.
Add pimiento and tuna, broken in large pieces.
Heat together then serve in small tart shells.
