Tuna With Broccoli And Pasta Recipe
What a wonderful combination of tuna and pasta! I love pasta but if it accaompnied by seafood then its for sure become a speciality rather than being a mundane pasta dish. Ingredients
| 8 ounces penne or rigatoni | ||
| Broccoli florets | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tomatoes | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), cubed | |
| Scallions | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Lemon juice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Basil | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Extra virgin olive oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Ground black pepper | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| 2 tuna steaks (about 6 ounces each) or 1 can (12 ounces) water-packed tuna, drained | ||
| 1/2 cup pitted and sliced imported black olives | ||
| 2 tablespoons chopped fresh Italian parsley | ||
Directions
Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling water for 7 minutes.
Add the broccoli and continue cooking for another 3 minutes, or until the broccoli is bright green and the pasta is tender; drain well.
In a large bowl, mix together the tomatoes, scallions, lemon juice, basil, oil, pepper and garlic.
Set aside.
Grill or broil the tuna about 5" from the heat for 3 to 7 minutes per side, or until the fish turns opaque and is no longer pink when cut with a knife.
Remove from the heat and cut into 1" cubes.
