Tuna Puffs Recipe
Ingredients
| White sauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Green onion | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Shortening for frying | ||
| Lemon juice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Fine bread crumbs - 1/2 cup | ||
| Tuna | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon (Cream sauce:) | |
| Flour | 3 Tablespoon (Cream sauce:) | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs), canned (Cream sauce:) | |
| Seasoning to taste | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. In a pan combine butter and flour over low heat.
2. Gradually add milk and stir until thickened.
3. Season to taste and let it cool.
4. In a bowl combine all ingredients, reserving 1/4 cup of bread crumbs.
5. Form into 2-inch patties or balls, roll in remaining crumbs.
6. Pan or deep-fry in hot fat until crisp and brown.
SERVING
7. Top each with a little chili sauce and serve with creamed asparagus or tossed salad.
