Tuna Onion Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| Mayonnaise or salad dressing - 1 cup | ||
| Lemon juice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Tuna | 2 Can (10oz) | |
| Green onions | 12 | |
| Cooked potatoes - 4 cups, diced | ||
| Celery | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Midget gherkins - 12 , sliced | ||
| Fresh garden lettuce | ||
| Large carrot - 1 | ||
Directions
MAKING
1 In a bowl, combine mayonnaise and lemon juice.
2 Drain the oil from tuna into a bowl.
3 Blend with the mayonnaise mixture.
4 Flake and add the tuna.
5 Cut 4 green onions into thin crosswise slices.
6 Add in cut onions, potatoes, celery and gherkins to the tuna.
7 Toss well to mix.
8 Place in the refrigerator and chill before serving.
SERVING
9 Serve on crisp lettuce leaves.
10 Garnish with carrot rings strung on green onions to add some color.
