Tuna Florentine Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 6 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1 | |
| Flour | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg - a dash | ||
| Milk | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Processed Gruyere Cheese - 1 packet, shredded | ||
| Tuna | 2 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Frozen spinach package | 2 , chopped | |
| Fine Dry Bead Crumbs - 1/2 cup | ||
| Parmesan cheese | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 6-cup baking dish.
MAKING
2) In a saucepan, melt butter or margarine. Saute the onions till they soften. Add in flour, salt and nutmeg. Stir continuously till the sauce thickens and starts to bubble.
3) Add in the milk. Cook while stirring for 1 minute. Take the saucepan off the flame. Add in shredded cheese and mix till it melts. Mix in the tuna.
4) Arrange the spinach at the bottom of the baking dish. Spread the tuna and cheese mixture over the leaves.
5) Sprinkle bread crumbs and parmesan cheese on top.
6) Bake for 25 minutes or till the top turns golden brown.
SERVING
7) Serve the Tuna Florentine hot out from the oven.
