Trout Amandine Recipe
Trout Amandine is a wonderful fish preperation that is perfect for your dinner parties. This sumptuous dish was praised by all my guests at a party I hosted last week. Try this Trout Amandine recipe at home and you will understand why!
Ingredients
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup slivered almonds
2 whole trout (about 12 oz. ea.) cleaned
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon juice
Directions
Combine butter and almonds in 2-cup glass measure.
Cook at HIGH 3 to 4 minutes, or until almonds are lightly browned; stir twice.
Arrange fish in 12x8-inch dish.
Season inside of fish with salt, pepper and lemon juice.
Pour butter and almonds inside and over fish.
TO COOK BY INSTA-MATIC: Cover completely with plastic wrap.
Cook on COOK 4.
After cooking, release plastic wrap.
TO COOK BY TIME: Cover with wax paper.
Cook at HIGH 6 to 7 minutes.
TO COMPLETE: Fish should be tender.
Let stand, covered, 5 minutes
