Tropical Fruit Medley Recipe

Ingredients
2 cactus pears, peeled, or 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries
6 cups assorted fresh fruit (sliced kiwi, sliced carambola, whole or sliced strawberries, orange sections, banana chunks, quartered figs, cubed mango, sliced guava, and/or sliced papaya)
1/2 cup whipping cream
1 tablespoon sugar
Directions
If using cactus pears, use a sharp knife to trim ends.
Trim off the skin in lengthwise strips.
Cut up cactus pears or the 1 1/2 cups strawberries.
Press cactus pears through a sieve; discard seeds or, place berries in blender container or food processor bowl. Cover and blend till smooth. Cover and chill the fruit puree for at least 2 hours.
At serving time, place the 6 cups fruit in a large glass bowl or in an Ice Bowl.
Beat whipping cream and sugar till soft peaks form.
Spoon fruit puree over cut fruit; pipe whipped cream atop or, gently spoon fruit puree into whipped cream; spoon over cut fruit.
