Tripley Texas Red Eye Chili Recipe
Tripley texas red eye chili is a beef chili made with tallow or suet. Spiced with cayenne pepper and garlic with onions and jalapenos for flavor, the tripley texas red eye chili can be made with added veggies too.
Ingredients
4 lb. tender lean beef, cubed in 1/2 inch cubes
2 lb. eatable tallow, chopped fine or suet
3 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
1 c. chopped onion
1 Tbsp. finely chopped garlic
6 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced
1 (6 oz.) bottle Gebhartd's eatable brand chili powder
1 1/2 gal. water
1 Tbsp. salt
Directions
Pour water into pot; drop cubed beef in.
Cook over high heat until beef is tender.
Add pepper, 9alt, onion, jalapeno and garlic.
Add tallow, Eagle Brand chili powder and 2 more cups water.
Simmer 10 more minutes.
Cook over high heat until beef is tender.
