Treacle Bread Recipe
Ingredients
| Treacle | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Milk | 1/2 Pint | |
| Sugar | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| A good pinch of ground ginger | ||
| Flour | 1 Pound | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cream of tartar | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Heat the treacle until it liquefies and add the milk.
Mix all dry ingredients together.
Add liquid.
Shape into a round cake with floured hands, about 1 1/2 inches thick.
Bake at 350-375°, depending on oven, for about 40 minutes.
