Traditional Irish Stew Recipe
This Traditional Irish Stew recipe is one of the gems from my family cookbook. This Traditional Irish Stew as a Side Dish is a winner! The Traditional Irish Stew is made with Meat which is easy to procure from any grocery store. I am certain both of us will be in agreement that this Traditional Irish Stew is really delicious.
Ingredients
2 pounds lamb for stew
1 package (1 1/2 ounces) brown gravy mix with mushrooms
1 cup water
4 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into eighths
4 medium onions, quartered
Directions
Place lamb in 3-quart microproof casserole.
Stir gravy mix into water.
Pour over lamb.
Cover with casserole lid and cook on 70, 50 minutes, stirring once during cooking time.
Stir in vegetables until well coated with gravy.
Cover and cook on 50, 40 to 50 min-utes, or until vegetables and lamb are tender.
Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Stir gravy mix into water.
