Tournedos With Mushroom Wine Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/4 cup finely chopped shallots tablespoons margarine | ||
| 1/4 pound small mushrooms, halved | ||
| Steak sauce | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 cup Burgundy or other dry red wine | ||
| Parsley | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 4 (4-ounce) beef tenderloin steaks (tournedos), about 1 inch thick | ||
Directions
In medium saucepan, over medium heat, saute shallots in margarine until tender.
Stir in mushrooms; saute 1 minute.
Stir in steak sauce and wine; heat to a boil.
Reduce heat; simmer for 10 minutes.
Stir in parsley; keep warm.
Grill steaks over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes or until done, turning occasionally.
Serve steaks topped with warm sauce.
