Tortillas Recipe
These Tortillas taste heavenly ! I have these tortillas with a variety of vegetable and cheese garnishings for lunch ! Do try them out with any fillings or toppings and tell me what you've liked tem best with!
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups cornmeal
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons shortening
3/4 cup warm water
Directions
Combine cornmeal, flour, and salt in the Bosch bowl.
Cut in shortening until well blended.
Add warm water, and stir until mixture is moistened.(A teaspoon or more additional water may be added if dough is too stiff.)
Turn out onto a floured surface, and knead 5 minutes or until mixture is no longer sticky.
Shape into fourteen balls.
Roll each into a thin 6 inch circle.
Bake on a hot, ungreased griddle for 1 minute on each side.
