Tomatoes Stuffed With Cream And Herbs Recipe
Ingredients
4 large round firm tomatoes
bunch mixed fresh herbs (chervil, tarragon, chives, etc.)
2 shallots
1 clove garlic
6 tablespoons heavy cream
salt and pepper
few lettuce leaves
Directions
1 Scoop out the tomatoes. Wash, dry and chop the herbs finely; Peel and chop the shallots and garlic.
2 Rinse and dry the tomato shells. Whip the cream until fairly stiff, then fold in the herbs, shallots, garlic, salt and pepper. Fill the tomatoes with this mixture and put a lid on each one. Chill until ready to serve.
3 Wash and dry the lettuce leaves, then arrange on a serving dish. Arrange the stuffed tomatoes on the dish and serve.
