Tomatoes And Okra Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup diced onion
2 tablespoons bacon drippings
4 cups (about 1 pound) sliced okra
2 1/2 cups peeled, chopped tomatoes
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon curry powder
3 tablespoons chopped green pepper
Directions
Saute onion in bacon drippings in a Dutch oven until tender.
Add okra, and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add remaining ingredients, stirring well.
Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until okra is tender.
