Tomato Scones Recipe

These tomato cones are the choice for the perfect party snack. These delicious scones are easy to make and leave no mess!

Ingredients

 
4 tspns. baking powder
 
2 cups flour
 
4 tblspns, butter
 
1/2-tspn. salt
 
3/4-cup canned tomato juice

Directions

Sift the flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl.
Rub in the butter finely and add the tomato juice.
Stir to blend to a very soft dough.
Turn onto a floured board and toss with floured hands to smooth.
Pat out, or roll out to 3/4" thickness and cut into small rounds, or any desired shape.
Place on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake at 475° F for 10 - 12 minutes.
For a more piquant flavour, add 2 tspns.
finely grated onion, or juice, to the tomato juice before mixing.
