Ingredients

 
1lge. can tomatoes
 
1 sliced onion
 
8 whole cloves
 
3 tbsp. butter
 
3 tbsp. flour
 
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Cook tomatoes, onion and cloves for 20 minutes in saucepan.
Remove cloves.
Brown butter in frying pan; add flour.
Cook until smooth and brown, stir- ring constantly.
Season to taste.
Add tomato mix- ture, blending well until smooth.
Serve sauce over oatmeal loaf.
