Tomato Chutney Recipe
Ingredients
Large Ripe Tomatoes - 3
Red chillies(dried) - 6 to 8
Garlic cloves - 2 to 3
Cooking oil
Salt to taste
Directions
Cut tomatoes into pieces.
Heat little oil in pan. Add red chillies and garlic. Fry till they turn light brown in colour. Make sure they are not over fried.
Now add tomatoes. Fry till the raw smell goes off, say for about 5 - 10 mins.
Grind the mixture finely using a mixie.
Heat pan again with oil. Add mustard seeds till it splutters. Then add the ground mixture of tomatoes. Boil for 5 minutes.
Now chutney is ready. Serve with Idli or Dosa.
