Easy Tomato Aspic Recipe
Tomato Aspic is a prefect alibi for seafood which is served cold. The mix of tomato juice, with lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce gives the tomato aspic a unique taste. Must try it.
Ingredients
3 1/2 cups tomato juice
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
2 tablespoons celery seed
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
Directions
Pour 1 cup tomato juice into small saucepan.
Sprinkle gelatin on tomato juice; let stand 5 minutes to soften.
Add celery seed; place saucepan over low heat.
Stir until gelatin is dissolved; remove from heat.
Strain liquid through fine sieve into small bowl.
Stir in remaining tomato juice and other ingredients; pour into lightly oiled 1 1/2 quart mold.
Chill until firm.
