Tomato Swiss Fondue Recipe

Ingredients
2 cups tomato juice, divided
1 garlic clove
4 cups (1 pound) shredded aged Swiss cheese
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon crushed basil leaves
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
Bite-size pieces of French bread
Directions
Heat 1 3/4 cups tomato juice with garlic in top of double boiler until very hot.
Place over boiling water.
Remove garlic.
Add Swiss cheese, a small amount at a time stirring constantly until cheese is melted.
Combine cornstarch, salt, Worcestershire sauce, basil, pepper, and nutmeg with 1/4 cup tomato juice; stir into cheese mixture.
Continue beating until smooth.
Place over boiling water.
Remove garlic.

Combine cornstarch, salt, Worcestershire sauce, basil, pepper, and nutmeg with 1/4 cup tomato juice; stir into cheese mixture.
Continue beating until smooth.
