Tomato Sauce For Pasta Recipe
Ingredients
| Tomatoes - 2 lbs or 1 large tin | ||
| Celery stick | 1 | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| Bay leaf, sprig of lemon thyme, marjoram and parsley - 1/2 | ||
| Butter | 1/2 Ounce | |
| black pepper | 1 | |
Directions
MAKING
1. In a pan melt butter and fry crushed garlic for 2 mins.
2. Add chopped tomatoes and garlic to it.
3. Mix the herbs and seasoning.
4. Stir and cook slowly for 1 1/4 hrs.
5. Let cool and sieve the sauce or pass through a mouli. It should be thick and dark red.
SERVING
6. Reheat the puree before serving.
