Tomato Mushroom Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Tomatoes | 1 Can (10oz), crushed | |
| Diced tomatoes | 1 Can (10oz), peeled | |
| Tomato Paste | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| 2 garlic cloves, crushed through a press | ||
| Dried basil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Dried oregano | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 pound fresh white mushrooms, sliced | ||
| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
1. In a 3 1/2-quart electric slow cooker, mix together the crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes with their liquid, tomato paste, onion, garlic, basil, oregano, pepper, and mushrooms.
2. Cover and cook on the low heat setting 6 1/2 to 7 hours. Mix in the sugar and season with salt to taste.
