1 clove garlic, minced
2 large yellow onions, finely chopped
8 ounces lean ground beef
2 cans (28 ounces each) low-sodium crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 1/4 cups chopped mushrooms (4 ounces)
1/4 cup minced parsley
1 tablespoon dried basil, crumbled
1 teaspoon dried oregano, crumbled
3/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 packages (4 grams each) reduced-sodium beef broth granules
Directions
1 In a large saucepan over moderately low heat, combine the garlic, onions, and beef, breaking up the beef with a spoon.
Cook, stirring occasionally, for 8 minutes or until the meat is no longer pink.
