Tomato Basil Tea Sandwiches Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pint carton cherry tomatoes | ||
| Cream cheese | 8 Ounce, softened | |
| 1 bunch green onions, roughly chopped | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 8 to 10 fresh basil leaves, more for garnish | ||
| 1 loaf thinly sliced white bread | ||
| Ground black pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1 pound bacon strips, cooked and crumbled | ||
Directions
Cut the cherry tomatoes in very thin slices.
Place the slices, cut side down, in a single layer on paper towels to drain.
In the bowl of a food processor fitted with the metal blade, combine the cream cheese, green onions, salt, and basil.
Pulse until the mixture is combined.
Spread a small amount of the cream cheese mixture on a slice of bread.
Cut each slice of bread into 3 fingers, removing the crusts.
Top each slice of bread with a layer of cherry tomatoes.
Season with salt and pepper, top with bacon, and garnish with a fresh basil leaf.
