Tomatillo Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 pound fresh tomatillos
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, peeled
1/2 cup loosely packed cilantro leaves
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/ 2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Remove stems and outer husks of tomatillos; rinse well.
Combine all ingredients in container of an electric blender, process until smooth.
Transfer tomatillo mixture to a medium saucepan, and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.
Serve hot.
