Toasted Pound Cake Cubes Recipe
Ingredients
| Cake package | 1 , frozen | |
| Honey | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon peel | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Light rum | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped |
Directions
1. Cut cake into forty 1 -inch cubes; allowing a 1-inch space from skewer handle, thread 5 cake cubes on each skewer; attach skewer guards.
2. Combine honey, lemon juice, butter, lemon peel in 1-quart Sauce Pan; heat over medium heat until butter melts; stir in rum.
3. Insert skewers into Kabob-lt base; place glass cover over food; kabob 5-6 minutes or until cake is golden brown; dip cake cubes into sauce, then into chopped walnuts. Makes 40
