 All purpose flour2 Cup (16 tbs)
 2 3-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
 Butter/Margarine1/2 Cup (16 tbs), softened
 Packed brown sugar1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Eggs4 standard
 Granulated Sugar2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Buttermilk1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Butter/Margarine1/2 Cup (16 tbs), melted
 All purpose flour1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Vanilla2 Teaspoon
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Hazelnuts2 Cup (16 tbs), toasted
 Sifted powdered sugar

Directions

1. In a large mixing bowl beat together the flour, cream cheese, the 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine, and brown sugar with an electric mixer on low to medium speed till well combined. With lightly floured hands, pat the mixture onto bottom and up sides of a 15 x 10 x 1-inch ungreased baking pan. Bake in a 350° oven for 15 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl beat together the eggs, granulated sugar, buttermilk, the 1/2 cup melted butter or margarine, the 1/3 cup flour, vanilla, and salt with an electric mixer on low speed till combined. Stir in hazelnuts. Pour mixture into pre-baked crust. Bake about 35 minutes more or till golden. Cool in pan on a wire rack.
3. To serve, cut into bars and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cover and store in the refrigerator.
