Toasted Crumbs Recipe

2 cups fresh white or brown breadcrumbs
 
1/4 cup butter

Directions

1 Put the butter in a 1 litre/1 3/4 pint (4 1/4 cup) jug and Microwave on full power for 1 1/2 minutes.
2 Stir in the breadcrumbs and coat with the butter.
3 Microwave on full power for 2 minutes. Stir well, breaking down any lumps.
4 Microwave on full power for 2 minutes. Stir. Microwave on full power for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir and set aside.
5 During a brief standing time crumbs will crisp up. Cool completely before storing.
