Toasted Carrots Recipe
Have you not tried my toasted carrots recipe yet? how is that possible? No other ingredient will make toasted carrots taste so yummy than vegetable. My family loves toasted carrots. So will yours!
Ingredients
8 large carrots, scrubbed and quartered lengthwise
1/4 cup boiling water, approximately
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 cup wheat germ
1 tablespoon butter
Directions
1. Put the carrots in a saucepan and add the water. Cover tightly and simmer gently until tender, about 15 minutes. Add more water if necessary to prevent scorching.
2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
3. Sprinkle the carrots with the salt and sugar and shake the pan to coat the carrots.
4. Roll the carrot sticks in the wheat germ. Put on a buttered baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, or until toasted.
