 Split green gram dal with skin1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (dhuli moong dal)
 Bengal gram dal1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (channa dal)
 Arhar dal1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (red gram dal)
 Tomatoes2 , finely chopped
 Mustard1⁄2 Teaspoon (rai)
 Jeera1⁄2 Teaspoon (cumin seeds)
 Asafoetida1⁄2 Teaspoon (hing)
 Turmeric powder3⁄4 Teaspoon (haldi)
 Ginger paste1 Teaspoon
 Green chili1 , chopped
 Red chili powder1 Teaspoon
 Coriander powder1 Teaspoon (dhaniya powder)
 Oil3 Teaspoon
 Salt/To taste To Taste
 Lime juice2 Teaspoon
 Fresh coriander1 Tablespoon (For garnishing)

Directions

Soak the dals together for an hour and strain. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker. Add the mustard and cumin seeds and when they pop, add the curry leaves and hing. Stir in the ginger paste and the minced green chili along with turmeric. Add the tomatoes and the dhaniya and red chili powders.

Finally, add the strained dals with 4 cups water and salt. Pressurecook the dal until two to three whistles. When the pressure drops, add the lemon juice. Garnish with coriander leaves
