Three Fruit Compote Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 ripe pears, peeled, cored and quartered | ||
| Squeezed orange juice | 250 Milliliter | |
| Dark rum | 50 Milliliter | |
| Cinnamon stick | 1/2 | |
| Seedless grapes | 175 Gram, halved | |
| 1/2 firm honeydew melon, peeled, deseeded and cut into large chunks | ||
| Dessert biscuits, to serve | ||
Directions
Put the pears, orange juice, rum and cinnamon stick into a large saucepan.
Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the remaining fruit and simmer for a further 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and transfer to a bowl.
Chill overnight and remove the cinnamon before serving.
Decorate with a dusting of ground cinnamon, if liked, and serve with dessert biscuits.
