Ingredients

 2 ripe pears, peeled, cored and quartered
 Squeezed orange juice250 Milliliter
 Dark rum50 Milliliter
 Cinnamon stick1/2
 Seedless grapes175 Gram, halved
 1/2 firm honeydew melon, peeled, deseeded and cut into large chunks
 Dessert biscuits, to serve

Directions

Put the pears, orange juice, rum and cinnamon stick into a large saucepan.
Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the remaining fruit and simmer for a further 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and transfer to a bowl.
Chill overnight and remove the cinnamon before serving.
Decorate with a dusting of ground cinnamon, if liked, and serve with dessert biscuits.
