Thimble Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
1/2 c. fat
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. brown sugar
Red jelly
2 eggs
Crushed nuts or corn flakes
Directions
1. Cream shortening, work in sugar gradually.
2. Add one beaten egg plus one yolk and beat well.
3. Stir in flour and roll into small balls.
4. Dip these in remaining egg white and roll into crushed nuts or corn flakes.
5. Place on greased sheets, pressed down centre with floured thimble.
6. Bake 5 minutes at 300°, press down again.
7. Bake 10 to 15 minutes more.
8. While still hot, fill centres with jelly.
